After another successful tournament with UC Santa Cruz in 2008, CSUMB and UCSC have agreed to bi-weekly events to encourage further competition.
We will utilize the numerouse courses around the Monterey Bay, including DeLaveaga, Aptos, Blackmouse, Oaks, Cypress, and Ryan Ranch.
This will be account for team practice and will also count for rankings of the CSUMB Disc Golf Team.

SPRING
The CSUMB Otter Open is a Professional Disc Golf Association tournament held over two days in the spring, usually in February or March.
This year we celebrated the Tenth Annual CSUMB Otter Open!

WHO: Thanks to all the proffesional and amateur disc golfers who played in this PDGA event.
DIVISIONS: Pro, Advanced, Intermediate, Recreational, and Junior
HOTEL: The preferred hotel for the tournament wass Quality Inn Monterey Beach Dunes in Marina (1-800-550-0055, $69 single, $89 double).

The Ninth Annual CSUMB Otter Open was held on February 10-11, 2007 on both the Oaks and Cypress courses at CSUMB.

We're making history!
There had never been an intercollgiate tournament in disc golf on the West Coast...until 2006!
We welcome students attending any two- or four-year instuition of higher education (e.g. community colleges, universities). If you or your college wants to play next year, contact us at discgolf@csumb.edu
- The 2008 tournament was a team match play, similar to 2007, and we again saw the Banana Slugs of UC Santa Cruz come down . CSUMB retained the cup again 15 1/2 to 6 1/2, and we agreed to bi-weekly tournaments between the two schools.
- The 2007 tournament was a team match play, with singles on the Cypress course and doubles on the Oaks course. That year brought down the Banana Slugs of UC Santa Cruz for their second attempt at the Stancil Johnson Cup. CSUMB retained the Cup for the second year in a row with a match play win over UCSC, 12 1/2 to 7 1/2.
- The 2006 inaugural tournament was a match play event between CSUMB, UC Santa Cruz and Santa Clara University. Thanks for pioneering and braving a cold morning!
